Menopause and Women’s Health
The menopause and perimenopause are natural biological processes which typically occur in a women’s late 40’s to early 50’s. Symptoms can be mild but for many the symptoms impact on both their physical and mental health.
We, at Dubai Physiotherapy and Family Medicine Clinic, offer menopause and women’s health consultations which are specific to the individual woman’s needs. These appointments include assessments of health risks associated with the menopause.
Some women after consultation, may decide to start HRT which can be prescribed and monitored at the clinic.
Other alternative treatments can be discussed including lifestyle modification and alternatives to HRT medications.
We also work in a multidisciplinary team with two resident physiotherapists who specialise in women’s health and pelvic floor problems as we recognise that urinary and bladder problems can occur around and after the menopause.
